The best time to travel
Together with its sister camp Little Vumbura, Vumbura Plains shares the private Kwedi concession. The floodplains, swamps, water channels, island labyrinths, and mopane forests create the perfect habitat for countless species. Guests can be lucky enough to witness magnificent sightings of elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, various antelopes, and countless bird species on the offered game drives, walking safaris, and water-based activities.
The abundance of species in this area is so immense that many of the mentioned animals can be spotted just on the drive from the airstrip to the camp.
