Kalahari Plains overlooks a vast pan, covered by a picturesque desert sky and bordered by an endless horizon. The camp comprises eight safari tents, each with an en-suite bathroom and a private sleeping platform on the roof, where guests can enjoy moonlit and starry Kalahari nights.

While this area boasts healthy wildlife populations year-round, the onset of summer rains truly brings the desert to life. A plethora of small game, including springboks and gemsboks, congregates here in immense herds to graze. Predators such as lions, leopards, and one of the highest concentrations of cheetahs in southern Africa closely follow them. The rare brown hyena can also be encountered with a bit of luck.
In winter, the Kalahari presents itself as a typical desert. Wildlife is still easily spotted, from carnivores to wildebeests, hartebeests, and steenboks, as well as small predators like black-backed jackals, bat-eared foxes, honey badgers, and numerous mongoose species.
Approximately 220 bird species have been recorded. Morning and afternoon game drives allow guests of Kalahari Plains to discover the region's biodiversity. Exciting bush walks with the San also provide cultural insights.
