The best time to travel
In the afternoon, the slightly shorter game drives often take guests near the lodge via a private sand track network. During these, guests can enjoy their sundowner either on a platform overlooking Ghoha's private waterhole or make their way to a cluster of baobabs, from which a glorious African sunset can be admired.
The longer morning drives, on the other hand, head to the legendary Savute Marsh. This offers an unusual, varied landscape with waterholes, marsh areas, riverbanks, grasslands, and some hills in an otherwise flat Botswana, such as the Kudu Hills, Pimple Hills, Twin Hills, and Quarry Hill. Upon discovering these hills, safari guests can also marvel at some millennia-old rock paintings by the San Bushmen up close.
As for wildlife, sightings of elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, hyenas, impalas, kudus, giraffes, zebras, and roan antelopes are possible in this area - to name a few. Furthermore, the extensive birdlife fascinates with numerous different species.
