The most important facts at a glance
Delta Camp is located on a small island in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The construction of the seven chalets incorporates the indigenous, mature trees of the island forest, seamlessly integrating the entire arrangement of accommodations into the landscape. A tree might grow through a roof or the floor, while the windows all lack glass. Each of the beautiful chalets features an en-suite bathroom with running hot and cold water, a shower with a view, a double bed or two single beds, a seating area, mosquito nets, and solar-powered electric lighting.
The lounge and dining area of Delta Camp are elevated, offering spectacular views of the confluence of the Boro and Metsematsweu channels of the Okavango River, as well as the associated swamp and riverine forest. A variety of wildlife can be observed from the deck, with frequent visitors including elephants, hippos, and sunbathing crocodiles.

The best time to travel
At Delta Camp, each guide takes care of a maximum of two guests. There are no motorized activities, as absolute nature immersion is emphasized here as well. Therefore, foot safaris and mokoro rides, depending on the water level, delve deep into the diverse wilderness of the delta. Each guide has his own mokoro, traditionally crafted from wood, which transports guests through the waterways to nearby islands, where the exploration continues on foot.
Wildlife of all kinds is abundant in this region: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, hippos, giraffes, various antelopes, otters, honey badgers, the elusive pangolin, and a variety of smaller wildcats such as civets, servals, and genets are among the many mammal species that call the delta home. Reptiles are also plentiful, as are over 450 species of birds. The fertile forests, rivers, lagoons, and floodplains of the Okavango River landscape never fail to inspire awe.
