The best time to travel
The Chobe Princess houseboat program is flexible, allowing guests to choose from a wide range of activities. In addition to the classic water safari, village tours on the Namibian side, fishing trips, or birding excursions can be arranged. Furthermore, a six-kilometer walk through the picturesque paths of Impalila Island leads to one of Africa's oldest baobab trees. This remarkable baobab is approximately 2000 years old and is also known as the "Tree of Life."
Every day presents the opportunity to take a tender boat out to see the often passing giant herds of elephants, buffalos, and zebras, as well as lion prides and a good number of crocodiles up close. For those who choose to stay on board, rewards await as well – from the upper deck, one can enjoy spectacular views, admire the impressive diversity of birds and plants, and spot the occasional elephant or buffalo while the Chobe Princess gracefully glides along the shores of the Chobe River.
