Small border town on the Cubango River
Shakawe is situated almost in the far northwest of the country, not far from the border with Namibia's Caprivi Strip, and approximately 375 kilometers north of Maun. The town is located at the northern end of the Okavango Delta, known as the Panhandle, immediately west of the Okavango River. The Tsodilo Hills are also only 70 kilometres away.
