A visit to "Gabs"
Gaborone is located in the southeast of Botswana, along the Notwane River, and serves as the capital of Botswana. It is the largest city in the country with around 250,000 residents (2011). However, Gaborone doesn't present itself outwardly as a typical capital city. Vast savannah land characterizes the city, which spans nearly 200 square kilometers, with modern skyscrapers occasionally towering among the low-rise buildings. The city itself sits at approximately 1000 meters above sea level.
