Theda Gräfin Knyphausen is the founder and head of CONSAFARITY. Born in 1978 in Hanover, she grew up in Lütetsburg, East Frisia, with a strong connection to nature. Her participation in a safari guide course during a trip to southern Africa after completing high school laid the foundation for her personal fascination with this diverse continent.
Driven by the desire not only to "consume and enjoy" but also to take active responsibility, she founded CONSAFARITY in 2013 and two years later, the affiliated Knyphausen foundation for sustainability, nature conservation, and education.
With expertise and dedication, Theda focuses on providing comprehensive advice to our clients and creating individually tailored dream safaris – always aiming to offer you a truly unique journey that will leave an indelible impression.
Since 2013, Theda has been living permanently in her chosen home of Maun, Botswana, where she is deeply involved in the realization of safari experiences, oversees the foundation’s projects, and works closely with local partners. For marketing and fundraising purposes, she regularly travels to Europe, the USA, and, more recently, Singapore to represent and further expand CONSAFARITY’s international vision.
